HRSflow offers a service aimed at optimising the thermal performance in injection molds, through an analysis of the cooling design and afterwards provide a proposal of solutions to improve the overall cooling efficiency. SLM technology enables the superior advantage to manufacture steel insert via the process of laser melting of metal powder layers. These inserts can be designed with conformal waterline channels perfectly shaped to the molding surface geometry unlike the conventional drilled straight channels. Uniform temperature of the mold is dramatically improved. This technology benefits OEM and molders since the improved cooling reduces cycle time and the associated cost.
